New Hanover County Schools is one of North Carolina’s top school districts (rated the #19 Best Public School District in the state, in fact). This large district is home to two PreK centers, 26 elementary schools, 10 middle schools, and 9 high schools—including the Joe Roe Center, the Career Readiness Academy Mosley Performance Learning Center, the Southeast Area Technical High School, and Wilmington Early College.
New Hanover also boasts some of the top-rated schools in the state, like Isaac M Bear High School (ranked #43 in the state and Recognized in National Rankings by US News and World Report) and John T. Hoggard High (#50).
